Leslie S.
Private tutor in Wheaton, IL
Education
I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received a BA in Anthropology. I took many AP classes in high school. These included European History, Statistics, Speech, English and Government. Due to my performance on standardized tests in high school, I was able to skip the introductory English class.
Experience
Since graduating I have been working at a history museum where I'm able to conduct tours for patrons of all ages so that they understand the significance of what they are seeing. Patrons come away with knowledge that they have before. I also work with elementary students on more fun learning projects. I am an avid reader of non-fiction books and always crave knowledge. As a tutor I would love to inspire students to have the same desire to learn. Fun things I've done are a not for profit programs which focuses on ending sectarian violence and differences in N. Ireland. The student learn leadership skills that they didn't have prior. I was with that program for 10 years problem for 10 years. I have also been on three archaeological digs which were a lot of fun.

Hobbies
I've always been a high achieving student and hope to inspire the children I tutor to have confident in their homework and presentations. I've lived in Wheaton for the majority of my life and live very close to all of my extended family. I love to bake as we'll as acting goofy with children. I can be a lot of fun but I always help students focus on their coursework.
